
The chart above is the three months SIBOR for the past few years. As you can see, the SIBOR right now is only about 0.6% in historically low. The private property price in Singapore has come down to a more reasonable level from the peak between year 2007 and year 2008. It might be a good time to buy into properties if you have spare cash in the current global recession because mortgage rate is also in its historically low level due to the low SIBOR. The average SIBOR for the last 20 years is about 3%.
